DUKE LICIT ADVOCATES started off as a sole proprietorship in 2004 and was thereafter registered in Lagos, the commercial nerve center of Nigeria, in 2006 as a partnership.

It has since earned itself a reputation for providing sophisticated advice and is regarded as one of the fastest growing firms in Lagos and its environs.

The opening of offices in Lagos (the hub of most commercial activities both locally and internationally) and a willingness to travel to any location that clients’ needs dictate mean that the firm continues to deliver the same efficient service it has done in the past 19 years.

CHUKWUDI ADIUKWU, SAN

 

Chuwudi-Onyemaechi-adiukwuChukwudi is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) Nigerian Branch. He is also a member of the International Bar Association (Business Law Section) and the Nigerian Bar Association.

He started his stint in practice with Segun Sipeolu and thereafter moved to the Law office of Deji Sasegbon Esq. SAN where he rose to the position of Head of Chambers. While in Deji Sasegbon (SAN) & CO he handled very sensitive matters to wit but not limited to, oil and gas disputes, maritime arbitration, election petition cases, high net worth corporate commercial transactions as well as a vast experience in law publications which earned him the position of Deputy Editor of DSC Publications Ltd. Publishers of Sasegbon’s Laws of Nigeria (SLN) a reference book for law and practice in Nigeria in 30 Volumes, Companies and Allied Matters Act (Law and Practice) in 6 Volumes and Nigerian Supreme Court Cases (NSCC) in 38 Volumes.

Chukwudi has garnered for himself immense knowledge and experience in litigation practice and has handled matters in all the Superior Courts in Nigeria.

EZUOMOWEI FEBOKE

Mr. Feboke is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with a strong bias for practice in oil and gas.

He started his experience as a legal officer in Sea Petroleum and Gas Company Limited (a downstream petroleum company). From there, he decided to broaden his knowledge in the oil and gas sector (particularly upstream oil and gas) by joining Pena Group serving as Group Corporate Legal Counsel, covering subsidiaries such as Nigdel Oil, operators of oil bloc OPL 233. After his run at Pena Group, Mr. Feboke partnered as Legal Consultant with Geotechnique International Oil and Gas Consultants Limited where they have been involved in several farm-in transactions including farm-out of 47% participating interest in Ogedeh marginal field to a Canadian firm James Bay Resources Limited by Bicta Energy and Management Systems (operators of the Ogedeh marginal field).

He also serves as a Director at Water Angel Marine (Nig.) Ltd. (An oil and gas logistics and consultancy firm) advising on Legal and Business Development.

Mr. Feboke is very knowledgeable in the draft of technical agreements including but not limited to farm-in agreements, joint operating agreements, financial and technical services agreements to name a few.
